There Is A Time For You

I remember being at a party last year, watching a friend celebrate her 40th birthday. It was in a bar, and I was just a couple tender years into sobriety, and I felt desperately out of place. I felt like I belonged to no one, and wondered if I’d ever fit in again.

Fast forward to this weekend. I’m trekking to New York to be with 500 other brave ass, real women in recovery. My sisters, whether I’ve met them yet or not, and a sure-as-sunrise feeling that there is indeed a place for me. For all of us.

Thank you, She Recovers , for bringing us all together. See you in two more sleeps.
